We refer to the homes we build as “Children’s Homes” simply because that is what they are. A Children’s Home is a home where orphaned or abandoned children live with a matron or house-mom or mom and dad. They live and work together as a family. The children do not have to leave when they reach a certain age; however, they must all work as a unit to sustain their home. The older children help with the younger ones and everyone has a responsibility to do their part.
More on the homes…
Financially, the cost of adopting a Children’s Home is approximately $2,000 per month. The principle of adopting a home enables Africa Harvest of Hope to build more homes for more children. Remember, there are 2.6 million orphaned or homeless children in Tanzania.
