Africa Harvest of Hope Statement of Faith / Mission Statement

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and the inerrant Word of God
(II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:21 ).

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
(Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).

We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ
(Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28).

We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world.
It is this (agape) love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians
(I John 4:16-17).

God’s Word says, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” Mark 16:15.
We believe God has allowed us to go into Tanzania to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
It is the desire of our heart to tell the people in Tanzania about God’s great love for them.
We feel that it is important to show His love in action…
“Let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:18.
We know we cannot do this on our own, but He can do this through us, by the power of His Holy Spirit.
God’s Word says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few…” Luke 10:2.
We also hope to bring others who have this same burden into this area of the world to be laborers.
Many Christians feel this call and yet never have the opportunity to respond to it.

God willing we will take two trips to Tanzania each year.
During this time we come along side the Africa Harvest of Hope team there and work with them in different capacities.
Some of the things we do during these short two weeks are; providing VBS for the children,
doing short seminars, distributing food and clothing, providing for the opportunity to visit dispensaries
and we will be continuing to build homes for orphaned children in several areas in Tanzania.

Luke 10:27 says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your strength, with all of your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
Our main focus and the reason we go is to show God’s love in action.
As we do this it will open the door to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in a true and living way.

Africa Harvest of Hope was born out of a desire to share God’s love with a generation of orphaned children in Tanzania.

After returning from a trip to Tanzania, East Africa in 2005 we knew we would be going back. The physical needs of hundreds of children that have personally touched our lives weighs heavily on our hearts, but that is not the reason we return each year to Tanzania.

We have been given the opportunity to freely share the Good News of Jesus Christ with a generation of children who have no parents to guide them. The children of this generation are the future of Tanzania. Who are they going to listen to? Who will give them direction? Who will love them? Instead of thinking, what will become of these children, we need to ask ourselves, what can these children become?

The faces you will see throughout this website have proven themselves strong and with a little compassion, direction and love from strong Christian men and women they can become the force that God uses to change the course of this country. Some may think that those of us with Africa Harvest of Hope are ‘Big Dreamers’. Thank you! That is exactly what we are, people who dream big because we know our God is bigger than our dreams could ever be.

We are praying that God will have His way and take this nation back to Himself, by the Holy Spirit working through anyone with a burden to help these orphaned children. If you are a big dreamer or if you have the desire to help these children then join us in our dream. Join us in building, not only homes for these children, but a future that will change the course of this country. It can be done. We invite you to partner with us.
