Welcome to the Africa Harvest of Hope website. We’re excited that you’ve chosen to visit the site and we hope that you learn all about who we are and what we do. We also welcome any questions or comments you might have.

In brief, Africa Harvest of Hope is a small non profit organization that began in 2005. We travel to Tanzania at least two times a year to check on progress of the work being done and also to spend time with our brothers and sisters in Tanzania. As the website expands you will learn more about how all of this came about; how God led us to this place and how He is sustaining the work through many hearts and hands. This is His project. We are His workmanship. Ephesians 2:10

Why Tanzania? The short answer is, “God lead us there”. The long answer, the answer that we continue to learn about as well, is not even possible to answer. We go because there is a need and God has allowed us to be involved in what He is doing there.

James 1:27 says, Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

There are approximately 1.5 million orphans in Tanzania and we realize God wouldn’t have everyone going to Africa, however He has “opened the doors” for us to go. He has also shown us that we can chose not to go through those “doors”. He will accomplish His will in the lives and the hearts of the people in Tanzania regardless of our choosing to go or not. It would be our loss for not going, not theirs and of course not His.

What is He doing there? The short answer is, calling souls to Himself. 2 Peter 3:9 says, The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

We are amazed as well as blessed that God has allow us to go to a nation that is overwhelmingly filled with children who have no parents and we have the freedom to tell them “The Good News” that Jesus Christ died for them and that His death made the way for everyone who believes on Him to reach heaven and spend eternity with Him, if we turn from our sins and accept Him as our savior. We have been given this opportunity to go and tell some of the 1.5 million children this information. We know that we are not capable of reaching all of them, but we are “big dreamers” so we will go and allow Him to accomplish whatever He wants to do. He is capable!

Thank you for standing with us in prayer. We believe prayer is the most important way that you can partner with us. We will be posting prayer requests on a “Prayer Page” but we feel very strongly that as you pray for Africa Harvest of Hope, these children and the projects that are going on there, that you will hear from God and we challenge you to listen and then pray for those things. And yes, if you choose, to give financially to this work we would appreciate it. At this point 100% of all donations are going into the field. None of the donated funds go to our administration costs or any other expenses. You will receive a letter for tax purposes for any donation made to Africa Harvest of Hope at the end of each year.
