“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance.”

Sharing God’s grace with those in Tanzania, East Africa.

Like many countries in Africa, Tanzania has greatly struggled with poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. As a result, there are over 3.2 million orphans and vulnerable children in the country of Tanzania and many are without everyday essentials such as clothing, food or even clean water. Not only do the children suffer, but so do the men trying to provide, women and elderly as well. With God’s provision, we have been able to help provide for these children and also invest into building up the village, Mtakuja.

Why Mtakuja, Tanzania?

Tanzania happened to be the first country that founders, Alan and Shannon traveled to in Africa. Work began in several areas before visiting Mtakuja. Here, in this small village, their efforts were not only effective but the locals desired that Alan and Shannon continue their work there. After this, they knew that the ministry could thrive in Mtakuja.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27
